We are creating a Medical Center to provide free medical care to seniors and people experiencing homelessness, offering something as essential as a consultation, a diagnosis, and the opportunity to receive timely treatment. Every contribution brings us closer to a place where a person will be heard, attended to, and cared for, without their economic situation being an obstacle. There are people who put up with pain for months because the appointment at the public clinic is half a year away, and a private visit costs as much as half the week's groceries.
We want to open a medical center run by the association. With two rules: those who can pay are charged a fair price, and children and people who cannot pay are seen for free. Every day, by appointment, without lining up since four in the morning.
What is charged pays for what is given away. That is the whole idea.
This is the first stretch: the space, the basic equipment and the permits we need in order to open.
